The National Quartet Convention
Declaration
Oasis
Probably the most talked about and anticipated event in southern gospel music is soon approaching. September 12th starts the beginning of The National Quartet Conventtion. From morning til night there is non-stop music. I remember the first time I went to NQC with my brother. Rich and I were sitting in the nose bleed section listening in awe. Then we walked around the convention hall (which seems endless).
Our second year we went as a group. We had our first booth and sang in our first showcase. It was all so exciting. But the hard part was no one knew who we were. People would walk by our booth and just keep on walking. We knew it would take time for people to get to know us. We were realistic. I mean really, The Crist Family, from where?
But slowly each year that has gone by we have gained more and more friends. People aren’t just walking by our booth anymore. They come in and sit and visit for awhile. Our time at NQC is busier this year than ever before. Here is our schedule:
Monday 11:30 am Artist Spotlight HOSTING in the Southwing Conference Center (we will be hosting this event and singing 2-3 songs)
Tuesday 6:30 pm Freedom Hall MAIN STAGE
Wednesday 2:00 pm Freedom Hall Legends Of Tomorrow Showcase
Friday 9:30 pm Freedom Hall MAIN STAGE
We hope to see you there. Stop by our booth and visit.
I am excited about our new website layout and the plans we have for it’s future. Our desire is that more of us have contact with more of you. In an effort to make that happen we will be developing more individual post pages for each member of our group. We hope you enjoy this new addition to our site. You will be surprised at how much there is to learn about the people in our ministry. I have talked with several people after our concerts recently about the page I will be starting. My desire is to have a place were we can encourage each other as Christians to fight the good fight. To remember “His Strength Is Perfect”. We can trust in His unchanging Word. I look forward to getting to know you all.

HOME SWEET HOME!!!
Thank you for joining us on our July 2010 Tour. We had so much fun meeting new people and seeing new places. We enjoyed getting to see old friends and making new ones. The most exciting part of our tour was seeing God move. Never before have we sensed the Holy Spirit at work in our concerts like He was during this tour. Praise the Lord! Again thank you for joining us and God Bless!
Travel Day
Our 15th day was a travel day. What that means for our group is 15 straight hours on the bus. To some people that might sound like torture and for others (like me, Tami) it is pure heaven. I am a bus bunk hermit. I love my bunk. Others on the bus love to play cards (Breana and Jackie). They could play for hours. Hand and Foot, (which I have no idea what that is), Sequence, Phase 10 etc.. Then there are the readers (Gail and Lisa). I can’t even count the amount of books they read. The local librarian is their closest friend. The guys are always trying to catch up on lost sleep from late night driving so most of their time is spent driving or napping. Then there are the three youngest of the group (Luke, Val and Colby). Their time is spent playing video games and movies in the back lounge. They have staked out that spot as their private getaway. To most people our life would seem crazy, but somehow it works.
