Oasis

OASIS now available  in our Store!  Featuring their current radio single “I Love Lovin’ Jesus”.

To listen to a clip and read about how this song came about from the writer herself .

We have chosen “I Love Lovin’ Jesus” as our first feature song for a couple of reasons. It is our first radio single from our new project OASIS and also a wonderful statement of how we as a group feel everytime we sing. I have asked Rebecca Peck to share with us how the song came about.

“Writing a song like “I Love Lovin’ Jesus” is always fun! On a spring day I got together with one of my favorite co-writers, Marty Funderburk. He sang me what he had started on this song, and I really loved it. We both agreed that this song could really work to bring people into the spirit of a concert or an album. We plunged in and were very excited to have a song that simply told what the heart of every Christian should feel….an overwhelming love for Christ and a desire to sing about it. We kind of transformed the song just a little from the original inspirational feel into more of a pop/country sound when the demo was done. The Crist Family nailed it! I couldn’t be more thrilled with the arrangement they did. I’ve listened to it over and over, and I hope everyone else finds the song to be something they can’t get out of their heads. What better way to go through the day than to have a song about praising Jesus filling your heart?”

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!

We absolutely LOVE the new CD Oasis!!!! We so enjoyed your concert at Gull Lake in MI. (even though there wasn’t much of a crowd) Bought the new CD and can’t get enough of it. Sure do wish that the words came with it, is there anyway that we could get them? Looking forward to your concert on March 12 at Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene in Lakeland. FL. We try to bring people with us that haven’t heard you yet.

Blessings, Phyllis DJ

The first time I heard the Crist family sing I felt the holy spirit all around them that is how they blessed me with there songs and music. I will be 29 in November the 7th and I am born with down syndrome and I loved singing songs about my Lord Jesus Christ as My Savior. When I was seven yrs old in 1989, I had learned enough that I wanted Jesus to be my life. I gave my heart and my life to him. He has never let me down when I needed him. He has given me his grace to endure. He has given me his wisdom to make godly choices. He has given me his peace when I became discouraged. He has given me victory over life. I love the Lord and want to serve Him forever in any way I can as He presents the opportunity. And I praise the Lord everyday and night that he has given me his Strength is perfect. And I Love Lovin Jesus and I worship him knowing that he loves me and he has shown me that my heart knows how much I truly want to know the truth about him. Jesus is so true and perfect. And your songs has touch me as I listen. Everyday when I am hurt or depressed or feeling discourage sometimes when I get alone with the Lord I would listen to and hear the words as you sing the songs. God has really moved and answers my prayers every time when I pray and for others. Both of the CDs I have are Declaration and My Oasis and others that you have has moved and stir my heart and I truly thank you. And I love singing to your songs. I’m also as well a singer myself my daddy is a music director from our church at Bonita Rd, Baptist Church in Bastrop that is where I was raised. After a yr and a half, when i was 18 months old, my Pappaw who was our pastor , felt led to open a Christian school and our church. My life began in November of 1982. I entered this world with many obstacles facing me due to being born with down syndrome. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder in which an extra chromosome forms in each cell. It causes certain characteristics in a person’s features and mental retardation. Many down syndrome people have heart problems and problems with their speech. In the beginning I had to go to the early intervention program at the Association for retarded Citizens in a neighboring town when I was just two weeks old. The therapists worked with me to stimulate my muscles and cognitive
skills. And that is how the Lord made me special because he knew that I can do all things through Christ and praise the Lord that he has given me the opportunity to sing and minister through my church and others and now my daddy is given me songs to touch peoples lives so that they will know how important it is that Jesus loves em like I do. Y’all are doing a wonderful job spreading the gospel to reach lost souls Who can be saved? I Loved y’all.
