- HOME SWEET HOME!!! Thank you for joining us on our July 2010 Tour. We had so much fun meeting new people and seeing new places. We enjoyed getting to see old friends and making new ones. The most exciting part of our tour was seeing God move. Never before have we sensed the Holy Spirit [...]
- Travel Day Our 15th day was a travel day. What that means for our group is 15 straight hours on the bus. To some people that might sound like torture and for others (like me, Tami) it is pure heaven. I am a bus bunk hermit. I love my bunk. Others on the bus love [...]
- Whenever there is free-time the guys try to find a way to clean off the dust and bugs we have acquired on the road. On this particular day it was so hot I was surprised they were spraying the bus and not themselves. Share and Enjoy:

When Rich and I were in our teens we used to live in Colorado. So while we were in Denver we had to stop at Casa Bonita. There is nothing like it. It’s not about the food it’s about the experience. Cliff divers, caves, streetlamps, gunfights, arcades, magic shows etc. There is so much to see and do and all at a Mexican food restaurant. After a day at Water World the Denver water park, we went to Casa Bonita. It was a wonderful day. We are rested and ready to sing.
Travel Day
Our 15th day was a travel day. What that means for our group is 15 straight hours on the bus. To some people that might sound like torture and for others (like me, Tami) it is pure heaven. I am a bus bunk hermit. I love my bunk. Others on the bus love to play cards (Breana and Jackie). They could play for hours. Hand and Foot, (which I have no idea what that is), Sequence, Phase 10 etc.. Then there are the readers (Gail and Lisa). I can’t even count the amount of books they read. The local librarian is their closest friend. The guys are always trying to catch up on lost sleep from late night driving so most of their time is spent driving or napping. Then there are the three youngest of the group (Luke, Val and Colby). Their time is spent playing video games and movies in the back lounge. They have staked out that spot as their private getaway. To most people our life would seem crazy, but somehow it works.
HOME SWEET HOME!!!
Thank you for joining us on our July 2010 Tour. We had so much fun meeting new people and seeing new places. We enjoyed getting to see old friends and making new ones. The most exciting part of our tour was seeing God move. Never before have we sensed the Holy Spirit at work in our concerts like He was during this tour. Praise the Lord! Again thank you for joining us and God Bless!
In our last post we talked about the past and reminised about old toys and games. Hanging around with all these young people we get exposed to all the new toys and crazy games of the next generation. Recently Breana and Jackie taught us the game “Ninja”. In a nutshell, the object of the game is to hit the hand of someone else before yours gets hit. I personally think it’s more fun watching, listening and laughing than playing. Our group is always looking for fun games to play. If you have any ideas let us know. You might just see us playing it on a video.
The Hula Hoop ® was created in 1958 and has been enjoyed by millions of children around the globe for many years. Recently we had the privilege of revisiting our childhood memories. It’s amazing how age changes our abilities to control the use of objects that at one time in our life seemed so simple.
Do you remember any of those great toys that you used to play with as a kid? If so, what were they? We would love to hear about them.
We are going through a great book for our ministry team’s bible study titled: Love or Die by Alexander Strauch.
In our study we have been learning how the church of Ephesus had everything going for it but with all the great things it was doing, it had lost its first love. God’s word makes it very clear that without love we have nothing. It has been a great study and has really challenged us to remember that even though we are out there doing all the right things, we must not loose our first love. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself”. We are committed to going back to our first love. We would love to hear from you on this subject. How can we encourage each other to go back to our first love? How can we pray for each other? Give us your thoughts. We love you!!
